How it works
Eyebrows are transplanted one graft at a time with single-hair grafts — any cluster of two or three hairs would show. Each graft goes in almost flat against the skin: the growth direction inside an eyebrow shifts over just a few millimeters, and matching it is harder than on the scalp.
The shape is drawn before surgery and agreed with you. This is a procedure where expectations matter more than technique — once the grafts take, the decision can't be changed.
What to know in advance
Transplanted hairs keep the "program" of scalp hair and grow at its pace. That means the eyebrows will need trimming, usually every two to four weeks. It's a feature of the method — better to know it before surgery than after.
Recovery
- Day 2–5 Mild swelling and redness. Keep the eyebrow area dry, avoid rubbing.
- Day 7–10 Scabs clear, eyebrows look nearly normal.
- Week 3–4 Shock loss of the transplanted hairs. The follicles stay in place.
- Month 3–4 New hair growth begins.
- Month 9–12 Final shape and density.
Who it's for
- Years of over-plucking that's stopped hair from growing back.
- Scars, injury and burn marks in the eyebrow area.
- Naturally sparse eyebrows and age-related thinning.
- Noticeable shape asymmetry.
For alopecia areata, an eyebrow transplant isn't done until the condition is in stable remission — otherwise the new hair would fall out along with the natural hair.
When surgery has to wait
- Active cancer — the only absolute contraindication.
- Diabetes with poorly controlled blood sugar, and hypertension that hasn't yet been brought under control.
- Scalp skin conditions and active-phase autoimmune disease.
- Rapidly progressing hair loss at a young age: the pattern is still changing, so it's wiser to let it stabilize first — otherwise a new bald patch forms around the transplanted area within a few years.
The doctor determines the exact picture at a consultation, after an exam and tests — a checklist online can't decide it.
What it costs
8 000 000 – 15 000 000 UZS ≈ $650–$1250
The doctor gives you the final amount at the consultation, after examining the donor area and calculating the volume needed. The consultation is free, including online. All clinic prices.
